For my father's 81st birthday, my husband and I took my parents to the Sandals All Inclusive (adult only) resort. The reviews online were mixed.,but I took the chance of trying it since they offered so many restaurants and my parents like staying on one resort w/ many food options. Big mistake and I really regretted that decision. While I tried to stay upbeat for the sake of my parents, I would have to say this was probably the worst experience I've ever had on a resort.
I raised my concerns to concierge every day (along with many others) and they offered me a free future nights for each of the rooms we booked, this in exchange for signing a NDA regarding my experience. I refuse to ever give them any business again in the future so I didn't accept the offer.
Here is my short list of complaints -
House cleaning arrived 3 of the 5 nights I was there....and the third time was only because of my constant follow up.
Moldy DRIPPING wet rug that took 4 days for them to remove from my room. Smelled like rancid, soiled towels
They did not restock water in your room after several calls a day to request water
They advertise 7 restaurants, but only 3 were open at any given time resulting in LOOONG waits for dinner
I could not get a dinner reservation for my dad's actual birthday. Instead, we waited an hour and 40 minutes at the Italian buffet.
Terrible wifi
Poor customer service from the hotel concerige. They were dealing with so many complaints I guess they just gave up.
Anyway, the beach was pretty. Too bad everything else sucked.
