Big Island, Hawaii - Day Three - Photo Journal Entry

I can be a bit obsessive with my lists....sometimes I write things down just to cross them out. Not sure why it gives me such satisfaction, but it is a quirkiness I've had all my life.  Anyway, during the weeks leading up to this trip, I enjoyed my downtime in the evenings laying on the sofa with my iPad compiling lists of things to do, places to eat, and areas to shop.  I'm normally the navigator on our vacations, so I was pleasantly surprised when Hubby did his own bit of homework and found a great place to enjoy breakfast.  Perfect way to start the day!

They bake their goodies on site and this croissant with ham, cheese, egg, tomato, avocado, and arugula was divine.

We were introduced to Portuguese sausage on this trip and were surprised that a) we never had it before and b) how the heck did it take us so long to find it!  YUM!

Took a very brief tour with Roxanne

Certified organic farm with lots of little animals to fertilize the coffee plants - 4 donkeys, geese, chickens, sheep...

The second tour we did was Greenwell Farms which was far superior so we were glad we did this one first.  Mia, our tour guide, was funny, informative and make the short, but worthwhile tour a treat.

On our way back to the pool, we decided to pick up some poke to go to share at the pool

The kids had already eaten so we chowed down and it was DELICIOUS!  So good in fact that Andrew went three times!

Lovely Day three - hands up to another beautiful, clear day.

These dancers were great - really enjoyed the show and was impressed with their stage presence.

We wanted to adopt the girl on the right - she was such a great performer.
After the show, we lounged around the pool, had some beer/wine at our apartment and the did a little bit of stargazing later that night.  Another full day!
