Aruba - Day Three: Cruising the Island

We picked up a rental car for the rest of our trip so we could explore the area outside of Palm Beach.   The island is very small and we easily explored it in our tiny Hyundai in one day.  To illustrate, we stayed on Palm beach (west end of Aruba) and it took all of 30 minutes to get to Baby Beach at the southeast corner of the island.

After a nice breakfast at Taste of Belgium, we went to the Divi Village Golf Resort pool to enjoy their infinity pool (equipped with a water slide), ate lunch at Mulligans (thumbs down), explored Eagle beach (which was reputed to be the second most beautiful beach in the world according to Tripadvisor, but not according to us - haha), the Alhambra Casino and ended the day at the Renaissance Mall where we had dinner at Casa Tua (terrible).  2 of 3 meals were a miss, but the tour of the island a total success and lots of fun.

I like that the island is small and very easy to navigate.  One road takes you where you need to go and it's impossible to get lost.  On the down side, the island is very small with extremely limited sites to see.  Unless you enjoy gambling (10 casinos), there is really little else to do... but I guess that's the point of going to the Caribbean.  ;)
