Barbados Wildlife Reserve

Looking for something different to do, we decided to stop by the Barbados Wildlife Reserve which was on the opposite side of the island from where we were staying.  We rented a car and tried to navigate there, but had many challenges finding this place.  While the island is small, many of the streets were unmarked which made it very easy to miss a  turn.  Coupled with adjusting to driving on the left made for a very interesting journey.  It took us much longer than we anticipated, but we encountered so many friendly people along the way that it made the journey enjoyable.  Every time we were pulled over on the side of a random road, a car would pull over and generously offer their time, as well as guidance.  The people were so friendly, it was wonderful.

We were not disappointed once we got there.  At this reserve, you are able to walk around among the animals feeding and chilling in their natural environment.  It was pretty small, but a nice break from the sun for an afternoon.
